“Miss Jane” is a 1936 Port Carling 18′ Runabout powered by a Lycoming 4 cylinder motor. She is owned by Carman Keyes of Kemptville, Ontario. Carman bought this boat when he was 18 years old and had just gotten his first job. He was told that it had been restored in a service station basement and if he wanted it he would have to pick it up himself. It was on a four-wheel car frame and was very hard to tow. He almost lost it on Highway 401. Carman’s family of four grew up with this boat fishing and water skiing. Recently the boat was restored by Millar-Potter Boats after 60 years of use in order to keep it in the family.
